Top Reasons To Hire A Wedding Videographer

We can't tell you how many times we hear brides tell us they weren't planning on hiring a videographer initially but are so glad they did. Don't get us wrong, we love wedding photos and do our best to capture the moments that make your special day magical. But there's just something about being able to look back on your day - see the movements, hear the sounds, and watch the day unfold. So if you're going back and forth on whether or not you should hire a wedding videographer, here are a few of our top reasons as to why it's a wedding day must.

Re-Live Your Favorite Moments

Video is immersive. Watching your wedding video brings you back to those very moments you're watching unfold on the screen. There's much to be said about wedding photos, but video takes it a step further by capturing the overall atmosphere and essence of the day. There's just something special being able to watch back your own expressions and reactions in real-time. Not to mention all the moments you missed! Which brings us to our next reason...

Take In All The Details You Missed

One of the things we hear from our couples all the time is, "I'm just trying to take it all in!" A wedding day is overwhelming in all the best ways! After spending months preparing and working over the details, you want to be able to enjoy the fruit of your labor! However, you also want to enjoy your guests and, of course, your new spouse! So with all the celebrating, it's easy to miss out on some of the details of the day but with a wedding video, you can take it all in from the comfort of your own couch. Over and over again.

Share The Experience With Loved Ones

A wedding highlight is a great way to share your day with all those who were apart of making it so special, as well as friends and family who weren't able to attend. Having a video allows people to experience (or re-experience) all the beauty and emotion of your wedding day. So whether you post it to Instagram, text it out, heck - you could even send it in an old-fashioned email chain (for once, an email chain we like)...we know it will be something you and your loved ones treasure.

All The Memories For Years To Come

Here at Move Mountains Co., we love curating the most special moments of the day and creating a wedding highlight you'll watch over and over again, for years to come. How cool it will be to one day re-watch your wedding day with your kids, showing them what it was like when mom and dad got married! We make every effort to capture the beauty of your wedding day but even more importantly, we work to capture the beauty of what's to come in your marriage. It’s our hope that when you watch your wedding video, it transports you back to that sacred day and those very moments where you exchanged vows to love and to cherish one another for the rest of your lives.

Jay + Jaimie

Alrich Mansion

Warwick, RI

Jay and Jaimie kicked off the year with their stunning winter wedding at the Aldrich Mansion. Jay and Jaimie purchased the I Do Video package and was shot by Sean. Everything from Jaimie's dress to the floral details made this day feel like a daydream. We had an awesome time capturing video of their wedding from start to finish!

Evan + Daniela

Belle Mer

Newport, RI

Over looking the Newport bridge, Belle Mer a Longwoods Venue, is one of our favorite places to shoot. Perfect for brides looking for simplicity and elegance in their space.

Evan + Daniela have known each other for 17 years, growing up together. They are some of the kindest people we have ever met! It was such a joyous day and we are so happy to have been able to share it with them and capture it.

Chuck + Lindsay

We had the whole team on for this one shooting photo and video. We started at The Hampton Inn in Providence,  RI, venturing over to Waterplace Park for the first look, formals at Rhode Island's State House and partying at The Dorrance in Downtown Providence. Here are some of our favorites along with a highlight video we shot.

What Kind of Photographer Should You Hire For Your Wedding?

Getting married is the biggest and most important day of people’s lives. They want it to be perfect, they want it to be remembered, and they want it to be captured. Capturing a couple’s big day is your photographer/videographer’s job, no pressure, right? This can be both a very exciting time and a very stressful time for people and your job as a photographer is not just to take photos it should be much more.

There are good photographers and then there are great photographers, but what makes them different from each other? There are many good photographers out there that take amazing photos and are very good at what they do, but how are they with interacting with their clients and ensuring that they are having the best time ever? I once heard someone say that when you are looking to hire any vendor for your wedding day you need to make sure you hire someone who will be a stress reliever not a stress inducer. There will be enough chaos and things going on during that day, but if your photographer has learned how to work with their clients and go above and beyond to help make them feel comfortable and stress free then they are a great photographer.

That is one very important thing that separates Move Mountains Co. from other wedding and event photography companies. We strive to make your special day as memorable as possible and as stress-free as possible. The day is all about you and what you want, it’s that simple. We are here to capture those once in a lifetime moments so they can be remembered forever. We strive for excellence in our work and absolutely love what we do. If you or someone you know is in the process of planning a wedding then Contact Us, we would love to help make your day one that you will never forget.
